Finishing Services
At Imperial Metal Polishing Ltd, we provide a variety of surface finishing services tailored to your needs. We offer both media and vapour blasting in addition to powder coating.
Media Blasting
Media is a technique using an abrasive media with high pressure air used to remove paint, corrosion and dirt from surfaces, it can be aggressive and not generally recommended for soft materials unless there is a high level of surface deterioration.
We have the following capacity limits:
- Maximum size ??mm x ??mm x ??mm
- Maximum weight 25kg
Guideline - if it fits in a shopping trolley and you can carry it into our unit we can blast it.
Vapour Blasting
Vapour (aqua) blasting is similar to media blasting but using a fine media together with high pressure water to remove paint, corrosion and dirt from fine surfaces, it is particularly effective on aluminium parts, returning them to a likenew condition.
We have the following capacity limits:

- Maximum weight 25kg
Guideline - if it fits in a shopping trolley and you can carry it into our unit we can blast it.
Powder Coating
Powder coating is a process where an item is electrostatically coated with a fine polyester powder which is then melted by baking at approximately 200c. This provides very smooth and durable surface and when combined with media blasting this service is especially suited to restoration projects.

We are limited by the size of our oven, our guideline being if it will fit in your wardrobe we can powder coat it.
